We are inclined to hold the competition in alternate years, so that the next FDIMM would be held in 2024. We expect to provide further details of our plans in early 2023.
Submit the form and confirm (1 July - 15 January) then pay the registation fee (without delay). The inaugural competition is limited to 24 negotiator and 12 mediator teams).
Registration for negotiating teams and mediating teams is separate. A university may register either a negotiating team or a mediating team or both. Where a university wishes to register both a negotiating team and a mediating team, two registration forms must be completed and the registration fee must be paid by each team.
The Registration Fee is is graduated depending on the prosperity of the country from which a team comes using the UNDP's Human Development Index: €550 for "Very High HDI", €350 for "High HDI", €150 for "Medium HDI", and €50 for "Low HDI" .
Teams where at least half the members are women and that have a demonstrable financial need may wish to apply to Arbitral Women for support.
The registration fee consists of €50 ("earnest money"), which will be donated to a sustainable development charity, and the balance in increments according the home country's HDI. Unlike the FDI Moot's arbitration competition, the FDI Mediation Moot does not administer national or regional qualifying or funding rounds; regardless of HDI teams will have to organize their own travel funding. Credit card payments can be processed via Stripe.
Registration must be complete by 15 January.
After completing all the registration steps, you will be able to manage your team on the website, e.g. update team data, add team members, uploadmediation plans ....
Questions, eg, about team composition and eligibility? See "Competition".
Please mind the deadlines (YYYY-MM-DD hh:mm:ss UTC) below. Waiting until just before the deadline to submit (server queues) is at the team's own risk.
